Cajun Gravy or Gumbo mix can be used in many different ways. The picture on the right shows a seafood gumbo that I made. Check the easy to follow directions.
I like this mix especially for cold or rainy days!

For Cajun Seafood Gumbo mix: Use 1-2 poounds of your choice of seafood (crawfish-shrimp-crabs) In a large pot add contents of Cajun Gumbo mix with 2 1/2 quarts of cold water. Stir to get lumps out. (will be white in beginning) Cook this mixture on medium fire stirring occasionally. The longer you cook this mixture, the darker it will get. If you prefer a thinner gumbo mix just add 1/2 cup more of cold water until it is at the consistency you want. Add the above seafood mixture cooking on lower fire for 15-20 minutes longer. (If you want to add a can of whole tomatoes or a can of rotel sauces, simply subtract that amount of liguid from the total water you start with.
For Cajun Gravy Mix: use 1 pound of deboned chicken and 2 heaping tablespoons of Cajun Gravy mix. Fry the chicken in 3 large tablespoons of cooking oil until done. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold water with 2 heaping tablespoons of Cajun Gravy mix, stir to get lumps out. Add this white mixture to the Gravy Gumbo mix. Cook on high fire let come to a boil, lower fire and Stir occasionally as it gets darker.
