You haven’t had good gumbo until you’ve tried Cajun Fry Cajun-style Gumbo! This gumbo is the perfect cajun flavors to enjoy with your family on a cool fall evening! Add in some okra for that extra special taste!
Ingredients
- Cajun Gravy Gumbo Mix
- 3 tbsp grease
- 3 quarts of water
- Diced Tomatoes (or Rotel)
- 1 lb. chicken
- 1 link of sausage
- 1/2 to 1 lb. sliced okra
Instructions
- Brown approximately 1 lb. of chicken and 1 link of sausage in 3 large tablespoons of grease.
- If you like okra, add that to the pot too!
- Mix 1/4 cup of Cajun Gravy Gumbo Mix into 3 quarts of water.
- If you want a spicier taste, you can add a can of Rotel.
- Let it come to a boil and then lower the fire.
- Cook until tender. The longer you cook it, the thicker and darker the gumbo will get!
